This app is published by the same company that brought us Pudding Monsters back in May. The game features a lovable candy eating monster named Om Nom. The object as the title suggests is to cut the rope from which the candy dangles so that it falls, floats or swings into Om Nom's eager reach so that it he can eat it.
Cut The Rope was one of the first apps I bought for the iPod Touch before we had an iPad. I loved the game, but not enough to pay four dollars to upgrade to the HD version. I have every other Om Nom game available in HD except this one. Well I have this one now.
There is a little extra advertising in the latest version, encouraging you to purchase 'Super Powers' but it's not extremely annoying. Just say 'no' and continue to play. One of the two ads will allow the choice 'Never show again' so that's half the ads gone right there. There is also an option to unlock all the levels early. No fun in that! Play thru and gain access for free.
The app of the Week is definitely a "Do Not Miss" this time around. Head to the app store and download Cut The Rope HD before it's too late!
