If you talk to anyone who was old enough to remember they can tell you exactly what they were doing on November 22, 1963.
This morning on the way to work I stopped at the BB&T in the same parking lot as my the store where I sold computers. Friday I had made a deposit and payment to my credit card. The teller was lazy and jst deposited the entire amount in my checking account. Monday I went have the problem fixed since I had not been able to use my credit card that weekend. On Monday the idiot with a desk said she took care of it and paid the entire balance on my credit card from my checking resulting in a 5$ fee for an overdraft. I realized what that moron had done Wednesday and was there at 9am when the bank opened the next morning.
I was waiting to talk to her and very angry that she was busy getting coffe instead of helping me. I noticed something on the news about a plane crash. I sat down and explained what was wrong and she relized that she had not charged me a consulting fee on monday. I was enraged that this branch had made the mistake on friday and now I had to pay a consulting fee for it. She also pointed out that she was going to charge me for talking to her today too.
I asked her outright did she want me to close my account and tried to explain that her disintrest in the problems her poor service was very disatisfiying. Before I even finished the sentence she cut me off stating "Your not really that important to [BB&T] and I would be happy to close your account." She already had the screen up to do it.
I spoke to her supervisor after this. He seemed very intrested in me not closing the account and offered to increase my credit line. He also informed me that the moron was transfered from a different branch and when I asked which one it turned out to be the one that I preferred. I guess I preffer that branch because the transfer out the idiots. Anyway I explained what I wanted and he said he would have her take care of it.
Keep in mind that I have not been paying attention to the news at all. The girl had now been watching for at least ten minutes while I talked to the supervisor. Anyway she moved the money back to my account and claimed that she had credited me for the consulting fees. I said something really mean like "I can't imagine how you got a job as a cusomer service rep" and turned to leave.
At this point she stated "What do you think about the plane crash?" I looked at the TV and she said "They hit the world trade center, do you think it was on purpose?" I said "They hit the trade center? I can't see how that would be a mistake... probably the same people that tried to blow it up a few years ago" I left and walked to work.
